It started in a bar, as all the best stories do. John wanted to talk to Lauren, however Lauren wanted to bring out her inner Beyoncé and dance with her friends.

All was not lost though, as one Facebook friend request later and John noticed Lauren had asked to borrow someone’s drill. John was only too happy to oblige, and not only offered Lauren his best and biggest drill, he offered to do the DIY for her. He’s been doing DIY for Lauren (and her family!) for over 10 years now…

When the drill exchanged hands, it became clear that they got on like a house on fire. One week later, on 28 June 2014, they went on the best first date of all time which started in a romantic restaurant and ended ten hours’ later in Fever Nightclub Wellingborough.

The rest, as they say, is history!

One dog, ten years, a teenager, a baby, plenty of adventures later and we are thrilled to invite our family and friends to come together and watch us make it official.
